Tilderu kvartāls began with this building, and four families already live here.
We started building at Tilderu iela 2C in August 2024. It is the first building in Tilderu kvartāls, with four apartments on two floors.
The building was completed and accepted for use in April 2025, and today a family lives in each of the four apartments.

The building where we tested our ideas
We built this house to test our ideas in real life: to see what works and to learn from what needs to be better. It was not easy. We thought a lot, compared solutions, dropped some of them and kept looking.
Some solutions proved themselves so well that we still use them. The facade panels here are glued, not screwed on, so the surface stays clean and even, with no visible fasteners.
The building also showed us what to do better. In the next building, we improved sound insulation between floors with estrich concrete floors.
A yard for families
Around the building there is a green yard, paved paths and a playground. This is how we pictured life in Tilderu kvartāls: a green yard in the morning, children playing during the day and lights coming on outside in the evening.
We are putting what we learned here into our next project. At Alūksnes iela 2, two buildings like this will stand side by side, joined together, with eight apartments.
